We have nucs for sale in spring. They are usually ready sometime in mid to late April to early/mid May. Contact us for availability (510) 684-5665 Call/text OK
We tend to sell out each year so we recommend ordering your nucs ahead of time (starting in January) to ensure that you will get on the list.
5 frame nucs of bees will be $200 and a $75.00 deposit is required to confirm your order (remaining balance of $125 due at pick up in spring). We can take Venmo, cash, check or Zelle.
Your nuc of bees will come in a box (as seen in above photo). I get asked many of the same questions quite often so I will try and answer some of the most commonly asked ones here:
Yes, you can put this nuc of bees in your car if need to for transport.
Installing a nuc is simple, I've actually sent nucs home with nervous couples who had their 8 year old child install the nuc himself while they watched (AWESOME!)!
Yes, you should feed your bees (sugar syrup) to help get them started. And no, I do NOT recommend using a boardman or front entrance feeder of any kind (as it invites robbing). We do often have 1 gallon in hive feeders available for sale.
Yes, I will be available for you to ask any additional questions you may have when pick up your nucs. You are also welcome to call or text me at any time (phone advice is free!)
We also sell hive boxes, frames, hive tools and full hive set ups (this will be ourlastseason selling hive equipment set ups items available until we sell out)
